Motor Vehicle Accident

May 13, 2021

On May 13th at 1:39pm the Memorial Fire Company of Slaughter Beach responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident on RT 1 at the north end of Argos Corner. Ambulance 89 and Ambulance 42 went on scene reporting 4 patients were injured but none trapped. Rescue 89-2 went in service with a crew of 6 with Senior Firefighter Billy Smith as the Officer, Engine/Tanker 89-5 responded with a crew of 4 with Asst Chief Kent Glasco in charge. 
Upon arrival Asst Chief Glasco assumed command and had the crews stabilize all 3 vehicles while the Ambulances transported 4 patients to Bayhealth South. Fire police, 89-32 Jim McGee and 42-33 Russell Johnson directed the heavy traffic on RT 1
89 Command put the situation under control and as tow trucks removed the vehicles all units cleared. Thanks to DSP for a quick response. Sta 89 had 18 members respond for this
