Fatal Mvc

A little after 1am on 9/10/2016 the Memorial Fire Company was dispatched to a serious motor vehicle crash (Mvc) in th northbound lane of Rt 1 just north of the Slaughter Beach Rd. A 53 old man came out from the Johnson Rd. and headed south in the northbound lane. Between the Brick Granary Rd. and Slaughter Beach Rd. there was a head on collision. A 28 year old man from Dover lost his life in the incident. The 53 year old was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital by A-89. 89-2 & 89-5 were on scene for tools and lighting and Tanker 89 was at the Slaugther Beach and Bay Rd's to shut the northbound lane of Rt 1 down to keep our people safe. Thanks to Milford PD and 85 FP for their assistance along with Del-Dot. Asst Chief Nick Wechtenhiser had the command.
