MVC with entrapment

July 20, 2015

Sta 89 was dispatched at 11:36am for a car accident on the Cedar Beach Road between Mills Rd. and Shockley Rd. A-89 and 89-2 responded with Medic 101 coming from Lincoln and Trooper 2 coming from Georgetown. Upon arrival Deputy 89 assumed Command with one patient heavily trapped. The Carlisle Fire Company was dispatched to rescue assist. The crews from 89, 42, 101 and Trooper 2 worked rapidly in above 100 degree heat to remove the patient. Upon patient removal C-87 ( we are borrowing this ambulance from the Seaford FD until our new one arrives) transported the patient about a quarter mile to Delaware State Police Helicopter Trooper 2. They took the patient to Milford Memorial Hospital. Special thanks to our members and those from 42 for a great extrication in beyond difficult conditions.
