Mayday Training with Houston

Memorial Fire Company joined Houston Fire Company on Mondy for a training class that was put on DSFS. Members of both companies put there members through some training that included acting like pulling ceiling carring, fire extingers, finding a hose and following the hose line back outside to the pump panel. This drill was put together to show members how and when to call a mayday and how to help the lost firefighter keep calm and find his or her way out of a house fire. The drill also included being trapped in debris and being entangled in wires. The members had to do all of this while having all of there turn out gear on and breathing air, and lets not forget the part of having there breathing mask blacked out.
