Nature: Annual Banquet & Awards Evening

On Saturday evening, February 11th, the Memorial Volunteer Fire Company hosted its Annual Banquet and Awards Evening to recognize the dedicated volunteers and emergency response personnel serving the Slaughter Beach communities.

This event was attended by many representatives of neighboring fire companies as well as state and county organizations which included: Carlisle Fire Company, Ellendale Fire Company, Lewes Fire Company, South Bowers Fire Company, Indian River Fire Company as well as the Sussex County Volunteer Fire Chiefs Association.

Penuel Barrett, the Vice President of the Sussex County Volunteer Fire Chiefs Association was tasked with the installation ceremonies for the newly elected officers for both the fire line operations and the administrative operations. These newly installed officers were:
